Project Description

This piece of ductwork came to us severely damaged from fire. We repaired it by combining computer software with regular fabrication techniques. The photos you see of the damaged piece that came to us were put into Solidworks, our 3D modelling software, to render the shapes of the damaged sections. We then sent those shapes to our CNC plasma cutter to cut them out. From there, we had our fabricator clamp the cut pieces to the damaged sections, use a grinder to perfect the fit, and weld it all together.
